Catch Up and Hold

Wow, it's been five months since my last post!  There's a lot to catch up on...

In August, I started my internship working as Adult Ministries Intern at North Campus.  My main responsibility is providing leadership and teaching for the Career Adults Sunday School Class, essentially  the post-college fellowship for singles at the church.  By God's grace we've gotten off to a good start!  We've delved into a series on how God changes hearts, one on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, and now we're wrapping up Prayer, Culture, and the Bible.  Our class organizes a number of social events, which has made for fun times and a good chance to build relationships.  I also preached my first pair of sermons in August by filling a vacancy at Maranatha Senior Living -- this is the same place where I did a three month counseling practicum the year before.  The sermons went well, and it was encouraging to see so many people I knew in the audience.  Julie said I actually sounded like myself in the second sermon, which, I think, is a pretty good compliment to get from your wife :)

In the pics below, you can see we started homeschooling Jeremiah and enjoyed a few different outings in the process this Fall.  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Since August, God has brought together two additional mentoring matches for Father's Light Mentors: one last Fall and another just started on Super Bowl Sunday.  Since I last posted, we gained approval to make the director position a paid internship under the Neighborhood Outreach department of the church.  We will begin the search for a new director from students at Bethlehem's in-house seminary next month.  Please pray for God to bring just the right student in -- there are about 50 seminary students at Bethlehem, which is almost an embarrassment of leadership riches.

These days, with the change to a new internship of my own there isn't so much time for blogging.  This may be my last post for who knows how long.  Thanks for reading and especially for your prayers over the past two years!  Please keep them coming!   They mean so much to us!

In Christ,

Tony

Home-school Co-op outing to an all access family farm.  Feeding the Billy Goats dozens of leaves was the highpoint for the kids!

Julie put together a neighborhood painting party in October on our front walk.
